Do you have any more wishful thinking or are you finished for the day? Trump won by getting the most votes. Imagine thinking voters actually count! Weak candidates will always try to see how the wind is blowing. Leaders will make the wind. Trump is a leader.
Is that why he changes his position depending on the reception of his audience? What's his position on abortion this week?
And just because someone has leadership qualities does not mean they are/will be just, lawful, fair or even a competent leader. There's no shortage of horrible leaders who led their followers right off a proverbial cliff.
The first candidate Trump has endorsed got creamed.
Rep. George Holding won the Republican primary for a newly redrawn district in North Carolina, beating Rep. Renee Ellmers, who became the first GOP incumbent to lose in a primary this year.
Yes, we know you are trying to blame Trump for her losing. How about some facts:
Ellmers was likely doomed from the start. First, mid-decade redistricting ordered by the Supreme Court decimated her original district. She represented less than 20 percent of the newly drawn suburban Raleigh district, while Holding (despite living just outside the new district) had previously represented nearly 60 percent of it.
The mortal wound likely came from the $1.1 million that conservative groups spent against her, including well-financed organizations like the Club for Growth and the Koch-backed Americans for Prosperity.
If any other GOP member loses their primary, it won't be because of Trump. It will be because the electorate didn't feel their interests were served well by the rejected candidate.
Even if he were to win the election, he'll need the support of Congress if he hopes to get anything done. At the rate he's pissing them off, Republicans are likely to unite with Democrats just so they don't have to associate with him.
Then say hello to EO's like Obama does and everyone seems to be fine with. What goes around comes around.
Haven't the pundits declared him "doomed" hundreds of times already. They have cried wolf too many times and now he's closer than ever to the presidency and beginning to poll even with Clinton.
Whether Trump wins or loses, the GOP is doomed.
