I'm not surprised. The Chronicle is joining a long list of mature, rational, respectable conservatives who refuse to vote for Trump. With his bigoted irresponsible remarks and his fraudulent business ventures he tarnishes the Republican party. If the GOP is smart they would disavow Trump completely, cut their losses, and regroup four years from now.
Now we know what the endorsement from these rags are worth. i.e. Nothing.
