True, but that 2008 endorsement was the first endorsement for the Democratic nominee in over 40 years. And in 2012, they endorsed Romney. Kind of back and forth the past 3 election cycles.
The Chronicle's credibility has been nosediving in Houston for the past 10 years, if not longer, at least amongst Conservatives, which your earlier comment seems to allude to.

That's my point, in the last decade it's become a left wing paper that's been on the verge of failure for a while. Houston isn't exactly a conservative town as it is but the paper caters to the left wing hipsters who move here and complain non-stop about how many oil field related rednecks live in the area while completely ignoring what built Houston.
