If anybody remembers, Al Gore chose to concede Ohio back in 2000. While many Democrats criticized him for doing so, I actually think that this was a smart move on his part. (Granted, Gore made a lot of mistakes in 2000, but that is beside the point.) By conceding Ohio, he was able to invest the needed resources in Pennsylvania, Wisconsin, and Michigan, and make a big play for Florida. (It made much more sense to concentrate on Florida at the expense of Ohio, because Florida--with its large Jewish population--would respond favorably to Gore's decision to put Joe Lieberman on the Democratic ticket.)
the bad news is that I think that Ohio--along with Iowa--is undergoing a transformation from a purple state to a red state (similar to what happened with Missouri 15 to 20 years ago). The main reasons for this change are demographics: given that Ohio and Iowa have low numbers of Hispanics and high numbers of working-class whites, it makes sense for these states to turn red.
If I were advising Clinton, I would advise her to concede both Ohio and Iowa and spend resources elsewhere. If I were advising Trump, I would tell him that he should take neither state for granted but also tell him that he needs to do everything possible to undo Clinton's advantage in Pennsylvania, Michigan, Wisconsin, and New Hampshire (which are the states most likely to determine who wins the election).
Ohio is not Iowa and is not turning red any time soon. Iowa is the a very conservative state. No comparison.
Hillary has been winning Ohio in the polls from the beginning of polling until September 13 which around the time she had that fainting episode and made the deplorables comment. She wasn't winning by much either. Like Florida Ohio is a true swing state that leans very mildly blue. Democrats only lose Ohio when the republicans choose a decent candidate who usually not only wins Ohio but wins Florida and other swing states. Trump is not that kind of candidate. He will lose this election. Trump supporters will realize on November 8 who the real silent majority is.... regular Americans who are smart enough to realize that Trump should not be elected president.

According to CNN she is no longer attempting to campaign there and has given up on the state.
Seems that she tried last month with 3 disastrous "rallies" where almost no one showed up, and ended up canceling several others due to lack of interest.

I agree. It was a great decision. President Gore made a great 43rd president.
She hasn't given up. Wishful thinking doesn't make things true. She hasn't visited the state since Labor Day but that doesn't mean her campaign is not spending money or planning future trips there.
Clinton supporters talking about lies......what a joke!
