She hasn't given up. Wishful thinking doesn't make things true. She hasn't visited the state since Labor Day but that doesn't mean her campaign is not spending money or planning future trips there.

Reason: off topic
In trying to look at this in as unbiased a way as possible, I believe that there is some bad news for both Republicans and Democrats.
For Republicans, the bad news is that Clinton (or any Democrat, for that matter) can win without Ohio. For Democrats, the bad news is that I think that Ohio--along with Iowa--is undergoing a transformation from a purple state to a red state (similar to what happened with Missouri 15 to 20 years ago). The main reasons for this change are demographics: given that Ohio and Iowa have low numbers of Hispanics and high numbers of working-class whites, it makes sense for these states to turn red.
If I were advising Clinton, I would advise her to concede both Ohio and Iowa and spend resources elsewhere. If I were advising Trump, I would tell him that he should take neither state for granted but also tell him that he needs to do everything possible to undo Clinton's advantage in Pennsylvania, Michigan, Wisconsin, and New Hampshire (which are the states most likely to determine who wins the election).
CNN didn't say that. It was a statement made by some commentator and he didn't even say what you are claiming he said. Of course you as a Trump supporter have so little to hold on to, this gives you hope. After bashing CNN for months suddenly you find a second class CNN commentator credible
