I think it is without question especially if you're considering a major party candidacy.
Major party, yes. There have been worse people in the primary fields of both major parties as well as third party candidates, but in terms of the nominee of a major party, it doesn't get any worse than Trump.
There have been 57 (this is 58) Presidential elections throughout our history. Do you remember every one of them? Unless you do, how do you know this one is the "worst"?
That is why I posed it as a question and not an answer buddy. You do understand that distinction right? So feel free to offer a worse presidential candidate in US history then.
In my lifetime, yes. I am not up on all the candidates throughout history. I think segregation brought us some bad candidates.
True. George Wallace was pretty bad, but he was third party. I would imagine in the revolving door that was the White House in the mid 19th century there were some pretty bad ones (i.e. Buchanan).

Yeah we need to get some US presidential historians to be able to find out if Trump is really the king of the dungheap or just owns the penthouse there.
Hillary candidacy is the worst in US history...she supported starting a war against Iraq and has bad judgement in every way possible.
