Yes. But was it light-hearted booing? As in part of the roast? At roasts, people/audience boos when something-slightly insulting is said to them. Isn't that a roast?
No, they were specifically booing when the tone went from light-hearted jabs to sinister rhetoric. All you have to do is watch YouTube videos of previous dinners to know the difference. The intention is generally for candidates to roast themselves, not diatribe against the other candidate

Well, in all fairness, they both did it, but Hillary said she rejected jokes that she felt were "over the line." Apparently Donald did not. I'm even surprised he kept the remark about his wife's speech. Still, talking about the "Catholic" remarks (which weren't even Hillary's) was unacceptable.
OTOH, his main goal is to get a lot of media coverage. If he had said "Yes, I'll accept the election results" after last night's debate, we wouldn't be reading about it today. Maybe that's why he decided to endure a few loud boos from the Republican elite but get more attaboys from his base. He can just blame the negative reactions of the crowd on the media. lol
Since we're on the subject, anyone notice that Rudy Giuliani didn't even crack a smile?
He started out OK with some good ones, but then it turned all aggressive and not funny at all. He was getting booed roundly. Kind of like the debates, I suppose. He does not know how to let things go. Just not what is wanted in a President, that is for sure.
