I hope, that whoever wins, the government and new president will actually work together and make an effort.
Not like it was for so long with Obama, where false pride and just plain sore losers refused to have a working relationship with the new president.
lol. You do realize, do you not, that Obama had a majority back then.
Yes, I hope we all can remember this in the days and weeks and months ahead, no matter who is sitting in the White House. We live in the greatest country in the world, and it will still be the greatest country in the world on Wednesday no matter the outcome.
Yes!
Great country. Greatest in the world no matter what anyone says.
Whoever wins this year would be very, very vulnerable in 2020. But then again, either would be very old then, so maybe they won't run for reelection.

Affirmative. Will be interesting to see who GOP puts up in 2020. Maybe Paul Ryan will be ready. Maybe one of our best Governors. But Dear God. Please don't give us a Reality TV host again.

Very valid points. The GOP HAS to regroup and start getting some respect back. They knew they had problems when Obama kicked their best man to the curb (twice) so they should have realized that their worn out tactics were not going to fly in modern times. They refused to give up their obstructionist ways, keep trying to overturn Roe v Wade, and launched more Senate investigations that Joseph McCarthy.
If they come down off of their high horses, and begin to relate to average Americans, they have a shot at saving themselves. But I don't see that happening because they are still not waking up to what put a clown ,like Trump, at the head of their party this year.
If you think we are embarrassed by Trump being in there, can you begin to imagine how embarrassed they must feel ?

Or not like it was in November 2014 when the Republicans took over the House and Obama made the statement that he would automatically veto anything they put on his desk?
I can't take a replay of 2000 . . . . . you made me think of Katherine Harris.

At the very least, post 2000, we've found a cure for hanging chads.
