I have to admit it makes me chuckle a bit when I hear the whining and handwringing, and now some talk about recounts in a few swing states, and the Russians posting fake news to sway the election etc...

All could be serious issues for sure, but what makes me chuckle is that during the campaign, and particularly during one of the debates, when HRC was positive she was going to win, Trump kept getting asked (pushed really) whether he was going to accept the results of the election, or if he was going to contest it in some fashion. He never really did say one way or the other. HRC on the other hand said, Yup, case closed.

Now the apple cart has been upset, the planets aligned, hell froze over, and Trump beat her. So now which side is saying "not my president", let's recount in some states, the electoral college isn't fair, we should run Presidential elections by popular vote only...you know, differently than we've been doing for 200 plus years.

So which side is making the fuss and not ready to accept the election results now ? Yup, the side that was pushing Trump to commit to accepting the results regardless of how they came out.....of course that was when they thought he didn't have a snowballs chance in hell of winning.

Trump kept saying the election was rigged and was belittled and scoffed at by the left. The left kept saying there was no election fraud, there was no "rigging" and that the election was being run just fine as it was. After all of this, one would think the liberals would be very accepting of the election results. Now perhaps, they suddenly think he was right ??? Hell has indeed frozen over!

That dismissing smile and frequent smirk HRC had on her face quite often while debating Trump told me she thought she had this sewed up, lock, stock and barrel.

Regardless of what happens, it will be an interesting 4 years with Trump at the helm. We've managed to survive for centuries and we shall survive this time as well. Every Presidential election is spun as "the most important election ever" by both candidates. If my opponent is elected the country will go down the tubes in the first 30 minutes.......I'm starting to doubt them.

If they're in CA, they must be the highly educated the left and Hillary supporters keep talking about.

They are trying to steal the election to get rid of Darryl Issa... that's why they are still counting. They should have been done by now.

There's no doubt she'd win. The competition will be Gavin Newsome, the former mayor of San Francisco (that should tell you something) who never met an illegal alien he didn't like. I'm not sure which one would be worse.

This wouldn't surprise me. I heard him interviewed right after the election and he seemed to be breathing an abbreviated sigh of relief re a thin margin of victory.

current as of this evening.
so what? If she won by 1 vote or 2 million, she won Ca and all the delegates. Heck, Trump won in AR by about 60% and I haven't seen his supporters posting this all over the place.

as liberal as you are, often you post intelligently, this is not one of those times.

Yes, while it's interesting to see the popular vote totals in any particular state, I don't see much relevance at this point.

HRC smoked Trump in CA....what a surprise ? I clicked around a bit and Trump smoked HRC in quite a number of states too. He was up by 20% or more points in lots of states. Doesn't make a difference. If he wins the state, he gets all the electoral votes. If she won the popular vote in any particular state, she gets all the electoral votes.

It's the way the election for President is run. They both knew the rules when they started the campaign. As smart a women as she is, and make no mistake, she is an extremely intelligent woman, Trump beat her using the election rules that are in place and that we've been using for 200 plus years. Since the founding of the Republic....yes, a republic, not a democracy as we need to keep reminding some. Read up on the difference and you may find yourself happy we're a republic rather than a democracy.
