The votes are still being counted-some of us want to know the total popular vote.

And now the spectre of a recount means it really isnt over yet.

Clinton supporters remind me of a drowning person. They are grasping for straws.

#Hillary lost

Oh, it's over regardless your endless posts and whining.
#1 the popular vote doesn't matter and you can read about it from any news source
#2 there is no recount except for wishful thinking on your part. Hillary lost by a large enough number of Electoral votes that changing one state won't matter. Even then, the vote in these states wasn't close enough for a recount to be called for.

BUt don't you think she should get one of those Participation Awards? That would ease the blow. Maybe Obama could give her one of those Participation Awards for Adults, you know, the Freedom Awards he gave out to his celebrity friends?

In the entire history of the country, there have been a total of 5 elections in which the man elected President lost the national popular vote; Adams in 1824, Hayes in 1876, Harrison in 1888, Bush in 2000 and Trump in 2016. Historically, it's very rare, but it's likely to become more commonplace because we are a very divided country and relatively few votes are moveable.

George W. Bush worried that he might be the last Republican elected. Obviously, his fears were proved unfounded, albeit by a candidate of which he did not approve. There is reason though to wonder if GWB in 2004 will be the last Republican to win the national popular vote unless something swings some of the large population states in a different direction. As long as California continues to vote 2:1 for Democrats and the D's get a cushion of 6+ million out of Cali and NY, and it's not counterbalanced in some way it's hard to see how that changes in the near future.

It changes nothing, and only matters in the realm of political trivia but it's interesting to those of us who enjoy political history.

Last time I checked, CA doesn't decide who wins the election.

The whining has reached critical mass. Get over it.
