Question... What if these people actually make things better? Would it matter if they are multi-millionaires?

These are accomplished people. They are not government elites who have accomplished very little on their own.

In the past - we had people who took lobbyist money and enriched themselves. These people already have their own money and don't need lobbyist donations.

Just giving another perspective...

I admit that I have no clue how this will turn out.

LOL, hey I have a cousin who's a drunk and doesn't have to nickels to rub together. Maybe Trump will put him in his cabinet to make Sanders happy.

Clearly, Obama didn't have the best and the brightest: Hillary Clinton -> John Kerry. Eric Holder -> Loretta Lynch. He replaced some highly qualified and knowledgeable people in the Pentagon with politically correct lackeys who took all the information on Islam and Islamists out of training manuals and replaced it with politically correct, liberal gobbledygook. Chaplains were replaced with Muslim sympathizers too, who were muzzled and not allowed to speak about Christ or Christianity.

Everything Obama did was based on promoting "diversity" first, and not offending Muslims. National Security was given a back seat.
Obama had yes men and women and that's never good.

it's a silly argument to begin with. Look at the people in Obama's cabinet. John Kerry comes to mind. His worth is almost $200 million. Others are worth a lot as well. Calling out Trumps cabinet is more liberal hypocrisy. but we have come to expect this garbage.

If a person is the best person, personal wealth really has nothing to do with it.

Where this is beginning to get interesting is in the type of person Trump is lining his team with. Every one so far has been either strict military or executives. A lot of them have views that are 180 degrees out of phase with what would benefit the "average Joe".

During the election, it was hard to pin down exactly what Trump's stand was on major issues......he would say one thing to one group, and another thing to a different group. But the people he is putting in place solidify his cabinet as being ultra conservative, ultra right.

I realize not enough time has passed for his "little guy supporters" to see how this is going to impact them, but the handwriting is on the wall. He is going to make changes for sure, but those changes are not going to do what his working class supporters thought they would do. Trump has lived his entire life by walking over the little people to get ahead, and it is not reasonable to believe he has turned a new leaf now.

My only hope is that he doesn't screw things up so badly during his tenure that the next guy can't repair the damage.

It has never been the "little guy" paying for rooms in Trump hotels or buying his $200.00 made-in-China shirts and ties. How could people be so stupid as to believe Trump was for the "little guy"?

The only contribution the "little guy" has ever made to Trump's wealth has been from those little guys who were forced to work for less than other little guys.

The lobbyists and big money donors have been voted into office. The middle man has just been removed. These donors have been using government power to enrich themselves for decades and now people think they are going to change their ways and reform the system that made them rich, just because they have removed the middle man?

Personal wealth has a lot to do with it. You donate huge amounts of money, you get the opportunity to run the country. Thats how pay to play works! Goldman Sachs is in charge of the Treasury under Steve Mnunchin. Just like they were in charge under Obama. And you think this is somehow a great change! Goldman Sachs 1 is replaced with Goldman Sachs 2! Yay for democracy?

I deny the existence of an "economic establishment." These people are the best and the brightest minds, and that's what we need. These are people who will re-establish America's leadership in the world, defeat Islamist terrorists, and keep our nation safe and secure.

You can interpret it in whatever way you choose. To me, he is taking the first steps to keeping his word. These people are not in it to destroy anything or anybody. They are willingly taking these positions to re-build America, make us prosperous again, and keep us safe.

I've had enough of you naysayers to last the rest of my life. Those who don't want to help and be part of the solution should just get out of the way and shut up.

Nobody's getting a "bail out." Carrier was not in trouble. They are getting tax relief and a promise to repeal burdensome regulations. That's what we need, and it's what Trump promised.

As for "no-bid" contracts: What do you know about government contracts? Nothing! There are many reasons why some contracts are "no bid." As an example, in the case of Halliburton, an oil services company, much of the equipment in the Middle East oil fields is Halliburton equipment. Who knows their equipment better than they do? Same with Brown & Root. And I am familiar with these companies, as they were clients of a company I once worked. I know more about what they do than the average man on the street, which is you.

So go cry in your beer. You would have voted for Hillary and bought us at least four more years of misery.
