(Mods, please move if necessary. Couldn't decide if this qualified as 'Elections' or 'Current Events'.)

Hillary Clinton Urged to Run for New York Mayor

I find this curious. I know she won the presidential election in NYC by a landslide, but that was when she was running against Trump. I'm not convinced that she's a good choice, here. NY'ers haven't been too happy with DeBlasio, and Hillary shares many of his traits and talking points.

You know that's not a bad idea at all. DeBozio is going to completely run the city into the ground if he gets re-elected and there's no one stepping up to challenge him. The problem is Clinton has delusions of grandeur and is in denial about potentially becoming president one day. Hopefully she realizes that nobody wants her in Washington and sets her goals to something more realistic. She could even be governor of NYS or California if she wanted

Hillary would win, no doubt about it.

I'm not convinced. I lived in NYC from Ed Koch's last year, through Dinkins, Guiliani, Bloomberg, and moved shortly after DeBlasio was elected. While NYC is very liberal, they seem to vote for individual candidates, and I'm thinking Hillary may be damaged goods now. Started this thread, though, because I'll admit to really disliking her and wanting to see the reaction of others to this, not just my own bias. Scott Stringer would be a good choice, imho.

I really don't care.
I do not live in New York City, have never been there, don't plan to go, and (AFAIK) don't know anybody who lives there. If hillary becomes mayor, perhaps she will stay there the rest of her natural life. IMO, that would be a very good thing!

Because DeBlasio hasn't quite turned it into Detroit yet. There ya go! Hillary will certainly finish the job.

Then I can swoop in and buy a few brownstones and hold'em until the people of NYC remember how to vote again. Happens once every 20-30 years or so .

that is a mayor downgrade for what was her ultimate goal......why not governor and even governor is also a downgrade......she should just retire with Bill and enjoy the millions of dollars they made while in government but they are the Clintons, they are a power hungry couple since the 70's and want to be always in the spotlight.

Or being Governor of California might be a good spot for her also. They deserve a leader like Hillary.
