It sounds like you don't realize the situation on the ground. You think there aren't any living in homes with family members on the title?
I know more than you think I do. Plenty of illegal immigrants own homes in the U.S. Foreigners can own property here so it's not impossible. For those who don't buy, some live with family members who do hold legal status. Another way is less publicized. Sanctuary and safe houses are all over the country. A large number of them in southern California. It's an interfaith network that has some 2K congregations who are ready to do what they can to hide and shelter immigrants. It's being done but don't believe that it's illegal immigration that's causing the housing shortage because it isn't. Don't believe me? Look it up for yourself. Better yet, get out there and talk to real live humans. They'll give you the scoop.
