Trump beat....

Hillary Clinton
"JEB" Bush (a family with 3 Presidential wins)
Marco Rubio
Ted Cruz
John Kasich
Rand Paul
Ben Carson (which NBC once declared was beating Trump)
Carly Fiorina
Rick Santorum

In other words, the best of the best of the bought & paid for political establishment.

Trump also beat....

The USA MSM including all the major broadcast outlets and name brand newspapers.
The Global World order
The crooked Obama DOJ, NSA, et.
The GOP (which did not want him)
The Never Trumpers
Hollywood

Quite remarkable if you look at it that way.

Find another politician that can do that, then you might have a candidate who can beat Trump.

Strategically, I don't know if a straight, white, professional looking white male is a smart move or a bad move for the party. Someone like Biden could be the key to getting some of those moderates in the Rust belt that went from Obama to Trump. But someone like Biden could also be viewed as too "establishment" too "typical politician".

I think the safe route would be a Biden type of person, career politician, straight white male.
Perhaps a transsexual, brown, female candidate can be a different kind of answer.

Sanders would have. I covered it many times. For someone like Sanders to have won (not a knock on Sanders but the electorate) Trump was pretty weak.

Just saying.
She gets paid $250K to recite words that someone wrote for her. I want a gig like that.

out of these 4, Biden probably has the best shot since he has done a good job of disguising himself as a moderate
Where Biden is concerned, dash, it's too late. He's an extremist and a jerk, not to mention very unintelligent, and, by now, everybody knows it. None of these above candidates are likable people. They have no solutions whatsoever, and they come across as hostile and angry all the time.

... and now there isn't a Democrat who will beat him in 2020... barring something like an economic collapse.

Gotta love America... 4 straight 2 term Presidents. Clinton, Bush, Obama, Trump. Has that ever happened before? I don't think so.

Makes you glad that we are the United States of America and not the United States of California & New York don't it?
