Same thing happened to me after Joe Rogan Show
I went straight to his Audiobook War on Normal People, goes more in-depth. Yes it is 6hr+ but I found it well worth the time

Think if he did win the nominee as the Democratic candidate could pick a VP candidate who is female, in Congress, and with a military background be a great fit.
Think a good choice would be Representative Gabbard with her popularity via the Democratic race.
Just for context: I had no idea that "global warming" changed to "climate change" just recently.
(Whether I misread you or not, that's not important, what's important is) care to clue me in? Is the term "capitalist" a pejorative? I really don't know.

Franks doesn't believe that Yang is a capitalist because of Yang's push for the UBI.

It's actually mind boggling to hold that view given that Yang, under the age of 23 (?), quits his law job and goes on to start a few failed businesses before making bank on a test prep company. Yang is an entrepreneur, a synonym of capitalist; a socialist OTOH has no need to learn about concepts such as return on investment, risks/rewards because it's not their money that's at stake. And yes, his UBI is very Left.
I watched that climate change forum, and what stood out was "we need to keep all options on the table, because that's good management, good leadership"--very capitalist, very CEO thing to say.

What popped for me was:
@19:35 climate change forum video; light bulbs
q. should the u.s government have a say in what kind of light bulbs we use?
a. If we do have a say ...
The correct response would be like ... manufactures can make any type of light bulb they want it's a free country, let the markets decide, not the government. But rather than say that ... Yang stays on the fence.
The government has had a hand in the 'free market' for the past 87 years. That is why Yang is being faced with questions, like why not create (Civilian Conservation Corps) government jobs like FDR did? That is socialist ... people don't see that as such, because they see people working.
Why not raise minimum wage? Again they see people working ...
The problem with raising the minimum wage is the fact that some states never raise it. The failure creates pockets of poverty.
Yang wants to float all boats, not just some of them. He sees the UBi as the only device that will eventually eliminate the stubborn poverty that persists in some states despite every past attempt to end it.

The plus side to UBI is it goes in everyone's pocket. So there is no more people thumbing their noses at other people.
The negative side to UBI is, it will have to be funded along side Medicaid for the kids and CHIPS programs. $1,000.00 a month won't make a dent in some people health care for their children.
Government doesn't eliminate poverty, it creates it.
