Things are about to get ugly for McConnel as his wife Eleane Chao is/was under investigation by the DOT IG for the steering of DOT contracts to Ky. based companies. Trump fired the IG, now the house is about to launch a full scale investigation of the firing of several IG's.

conservatives please forgive the liberal source, I tried to find Karen from facebook to give their opinion on how it's a democratic conspiracy but couldn't find her. I'm sure she will pop up in a few weeks though.

There are "young" 70 year olds, and then there are "old" 70 year olds. McConnell is in the latter category.

Seriously, when I see McConnell on TV, he reminds me of these guys.

I really don't think Americans split their ticket anymore. Trump is going to push hard (as any President would) to keep the Senate in the GOP's column so he can either pass his agenda or block Democratic agenda. Is there that much Republican angst for McConnell that they'd vote for Trump and then vote for a Democrat for Senate?

Ticket splitting has never been as big as people claim. Instead of looking at the percentage, look at the actual number of votes.

There have been candidates who were so bad that their side stayed home (Roy Moore), but thats about it. Same is true on the Presidential level.

This is also why the Trump-Obama voter is largely a myth.

Mitch is in no serious danger in Kentucky. He will win, and by a comfortably margin.

The only way this race gets competitive is if the House investigation yields anything. If it moves from a house investigation to an impeach of his wife it could force him out or hurt him enough to be vulnerable.

Imagine the fall out if Elaine Chao is impeached & McConnel has to recluse himself for the conflict of interest. You can bet 100% the house will put McConnel on trial as well.

This actually makes for a good storyline.
