They could fund this "tax vacation" by not earmarking funds for any bridges to nowhere this summer. That will not happen so it will likely lead us to borrow more from China.

An economist noted there are not enough bridges [that could be canceled] multiplied by ten in the earmark budget that would come close to covering 9 Billion dollars.

The news reported the avg. earmark is around a million bucks. We need 1000 million for the first billion.

So if the gas tax is truly being used to fund roads, we should have billions in reserve.
