Redistricting has him facing off against Congress[wo]man Carolyn Maloney who has a ton of money.

Jerry Nadler Gets Desperate as Primary Rival Takes Commanding Lead

Rep. Jerry Nadler (D-NY) is getting desperate as his Democratic primary rival has taken a commanding lead in the race for the New York congressional seat.

Nadler’s opponent, incumbent Democrat Rep. Carolyn Maloney (D-NY), has a huge financial advantage heading into the August 23 primary.

Following the redistricting process, Nadler was doomed after he was forced to go head-to-head against Maloney for her long-held seat.

Nadler got screwed by redistricting and now has a tough primary against Maloney.

I wonder of the redistricting occurred because of a loss of population...that would be too good.

The district NY lost due to redistricting was upstate. The old 10th was primarily located on the west side of Manhattan into portions of Brooklyn. The old 12th was primarily located on the east side of Manhattan with adjoining areas of Queens and Brooklyn across the East River. The new districts due away with the East/West split in Manhattan. The new 10th primarily covers lower Manhattan and portions of Northern Brooklyn. The new 12th covers most of midtown Manhattan including East and west side which is where both Maloney and Nadler live

Every site I checked shows a different height, but he appears to be very short in photos. Short guys can easily become fat, especially if they try to match the drinking of taller guys. There are plenty of fat Repubs. Weight insults are easy to throw, but they can bounce back.

He cruised through... Nadler in, Maloney out.

Maloney cries ‘misogyny’ after Nadler knocks her off in nasty primary fight

After Rep. Jerry Nadler cruised to victory over Rep. Carolyn Maloney in Tuesday’s contentious Democratic primary to represent New York’s 12th Congressional District — ousting his longtime colleague after three decades in office in the process — Maloney whined that she was the victim of “sexist systems and misogyny” as her supporters vented their wrath at her victorious opponent.

...
With 99% of the district’s vote scanners reporting, Nadler had 55.4% of the vote compared to just 24.4% for Maloney. Attorney Suraj Patel, who was challenging Maloney for a third consecutive cycle, had 19.1%.

The 75-year-old Nadler’s defeat of the 76-year-old Maloney, a triumph of age and experience over age and experience, brought a close to a nasty rivalry between the two that began after Democrats’ botched gerrymander smashed Nadler’s Upper West Side and Maloney’s Upper East Side fiefdoms into a single district — and climaxed with Maloney accusing her onetime colleague of being “senile.”
