Also, in 2016, Johnson's approval was on an upward trend. He was able to get the undecided voters.

Johnson lost some older voters with his recent comment Social Security. Can't unring that bell.

Pro-choice voters are going to vote against him.

The above 2 issues are a double whammy.

2016 was a long time ago. People didn't then understand how crazy Johnson really was. He has now given them six years of his lunacy.

Barnes has been successful in pointing out some of Johnson's statements as "wacky" and there is a public perception that Barnes cares more about people.

And the Beacon/Shaw that came out a few days later has it as a 4 point race.

Independents and the working class WILL break for Republicans as election day approaches. Mark my words.

The great realignment is still happening. Working class voters of all races will increasingly vote Republican. It's no longer enough to pay lip service to them about supporting the working man and woman when everything the leftist elite does is irritating to them (pretty much everything woke), and in practice the things the left supports actively HURT the working class (student loan forgiveness, mandated electric cars).

Over 60% of Americans do not have a college degree, and of those that do, only 14% have graduate degrees.

Abortion has likely gained the left some degree holding women, but many of them were already voting Democrat anyway.

I think that Johnson will come up with another wacky statement before election day. Mark my words.

I take it you do not like patriotic Americans, and by that, I mean those who support our constitution and a free market, free enterprise system.

Why do you think abortion is only supported by “degree-holding women” vs women per se, or high income vs low income women, or whatever groupings you have in mind?
Where does your research come from? Would really like to see how the abortion issue is being evaluated

Abortion has high support with women in general. Women

Pretty much only conservative Republicans believe abortion should be illegal in all or most cases. By the time you reach moderate Republicans, the majority believe abortion should be legal in most cases

Thanks but you were not the poster I asked to justify his/her statement

I am sure your information is more correct—
I just wanted to know why the first poster was passing along a narrow pov
