Republicans are more "racist" but... (thought, liberal, president)

If you look at the meaning of racism... you certainly fit the description. I mean this with all due respect. But, you see, saying that the Republican party is racist... that statement shows that you are prejudiced and discriminatory.
For those in this thread who persist in calling Repulbicans racists -- how would you describe a Republican who intneds to vote for Obama? Is that person a racist because they are registered as a Republican, or do they get a pass when they vote for Obama? If the latter, do they then revert back to being a racist the day after the election?
Calling people names on the basis of their political party makes about as much sense as basing one's opinion of others on the color of their skin.

Let me be more specific, not all Republicans are racists, but there can be little doubt that today's Republican party is the chosen party of white racists. To dispute that, would be to dispute the obvious.

And today's Democrat party is the chosen party of black racists, like Jeremiah Wright.
Conceding that both parties have racist members doesn't make either of them racist parties; nor does it make racism a principle of either party.
Notice how the names on your list all say "former" before listing the office held. There's a reason for that. I was referring to CURRENT Republican governors, senators, or House members. The Republican party has become the party of racists since most of those names listed held office.. Any way, go ahead name one black Republican currently serving in any of positions I mentioned.

The facts show that republicans WILL vote for a black for office if the candidate's platform or views are congruent with the voters'.
If there are but a few black Republicans then there are obviously even fewer who might consider running for office. Elections in 2004 and 2006 were won by decidedly democrat margin. Republicans did not win. Hence, no black OR white won those seats. Just because there are no republican blacks in these offices at this time it doesn't mean that there won't be in the future. Nor does it mean that the reason that a black is not in office is because of racism.
As a republican, I am offended by your assertion that republicans are racist. Neither I nor any of the other white republicans that I know are racist. I am not governed by race. I don't think about it like you do. It is not in the forefront of my mind every second of every day. I don't think that someone's accomplishment or failures are caused by their race or by what others think about their race. While you may try to claim that racism is at the root of all the country's ills, you can't. Well, I guess you can and others just sit back and shake their heads in disbelief of the ignorance from which that stems.
I will stand by and for someone no matter what race or sex they are if they are discriminated against. I will not tolerate any type of racism be it in my house, my classroom (when I was a teacher), or in my place of work. I do concede that racism exists, but I, for one, rally against it every chance I get. I will fight whites, blacks, democrats or republicans, young and old alike.
Not everyone can and should be painted with such broad strokes.
BTW, I happen to know several white republicans that are voting for Obama because they like what he has to say, as well as several white democrats that won't because he's black.
As always the libs demonstrate they are the ultimate hypocracy! Check out the most segregated cities in America, NYC, Chicago, SF all lib strongholds. Now if they are not racist, why would they live in these gated communities while they shove all the minorities into these widespread ghettoes with crime and filth the whole time throwing welfare checks to them acting like they care. That sounds pretty racist to me, "yeah, we care about your welfare, just as long as you don't live near me!" Meanwhile here in Houston, we live in a very integrated community where white, black, hispanic asian, etc. live in the same neighborhoods and get along great. We are a republican city so who is the racist?
