I understand some people will vote for McCain because they feel threatened by or just dislike Obama.

Is there anybody though that wants to vote McCain because they passionately feel he is the right man to be our next President?

If so, why? Other than just because "he is not Obama".

I don't think I have ever met a person... from any ideological background... that deeply supports the guy. I am perplexed how he has gotten this close to the Presidency.

I'm with you 100%, Bily4 . . .

John McCain scares me but not nearly as much as Obama scares me.

Sadly, this election is going to be a repeat of the fiasco of 1976 . . . THE LESSOR OF THE TWO EVILS WINS.
! ! ! !

In retrospect, he is the only GOP candidate that can beat either democrat. Sorry to say.

I didn't vote for him in the primary. If I had my way he would not be the GOP nominee. But, I will vote for him over a dem/lim any day. Such is life.

He will be strong on Iraq, taxes, and SCOTUS.

His immigration position infuriates me.

I think he served our country honorably, and I like his angry personality. Hopefully he tells some people in this country to shove it up their ass. I await in anxious glee.

I have nothing personally against the man. I just have never liked him and I disagree on many of his positions, immigration for one. I wouldn't vote for him for mayor let alone president.

Actually I like McCain well enough. Of all the Republicans he's my favorite - because he's such a moderate.

I'll vote for whoever is the Democratic choice however (almost certainly Obama at this stage).

Just can't stomach the idea of voting for a Republican right now - but if I did, it would be McCain.

Ken

Im voting McCain not only because their is no one better but I like my own money.

Oh and he does not want to expand the government.

Would I like someone else yea but he is out of the race.

I get the people that vote for him because he is Republican and they normally vote Republican...I just wonder how the heck he got the Republican nomination.

Where are all these people that voted for him and why did they do it?

That is what I still don't get.

I don't agree with McCain on a number of issues but I like him. Mostly, I tend to like those who show some backbone and refuse to blindly follow the party line. I like that the Republicans don't always like McCain. That's why I like Lieberman, too - he isn't the Democrat's darling because he doesn't follow blindly.

No candidate agrees with me on every issue so I usually go with the one who displays the most integrity, and standing up to your own party is a good indication of integrity in today's political climate. As least it is to me.
