Anyone keeping up with the financial crisis can plainly see the Republicans are fighting for Main St. America while the Democrats are trying to destroy you.

That is a common place for the demo's. They have been in melt down mode about one thing or another for months now.

The Republicans want to suspend the capital gains tax, is that fighting for all the million dollar investors on main street?

Exactly. What is clear to me is that no matter how many times the candidate, the representatives or the President say it, the divide between the parties is too wide. All American's are going to feel the effects of this one way or another. Neither side is doing a bang up job or has done but hey, better to blame then other side then have to look at your own party I suppose.

Mc Cain wants to repeal the AMT, which will add a few hundred billion dollars to the deficit. Extension of the Bush tax cuts for those who earn more than 250 K, you must be delusional!

The Republicans are demanding that earmarks proposed by the Democrats, like 20% of treasury loan profits going to groups like ACORN are NOT what the taxpayers would be supporting when they see the details of the plan.

I guess I have to remind you guys that this financial mess is the direct result of incompetent economic stewardship of the Bush Republicans over the past 8 years. Sorry - but I don't have amnesia like some out there - there is absolutely no way Republicans can blame anyone else when they controlled Congress for the first 6 years of the Bush Administration and went along hook, line, and sinker with his push to deregulate the markets and his blind eye towards enforcing existing regulation.

Bush and the Republicans OWN this economic melt-down.

The Republicans are not even supporting their own sitting President on this one - shows you how split the Republicans are...

Yes it is fighting for main street. Much more than taking 700 billion out of your pockets.
