Yes. If he won't even help his own brother, why do the dumb Dems think he is going to take care of THEM?
Kind of like McCain voting against vets when he is one. Why should vets believe that will change if he is elected?

I am serious about this. I am not voting for Obama or McCain, as I don't think either one is qualified or what we need. This question has nothing to do with anything but Obama and his supporters. Please explain why you can still support him after he changed his opinion on MAJOR issues, THIS YEAR. Does this mean that you all changed your minds right along with him? Does this mean that it doesn't matter what the facts are, but you will agree to anything he says? Are you follower drones? What gives?
In '04, the GOP told the American public that Bush and Cheney needed "4 more years to finish the job." They lied. The GOP lied. Before that, Bush and Cheney lied to the American public and the world to justify going to war. No WMDs, attack anyway. No imminent threat, no provocation, attack anyway. Bush lied about troop battle progress. McCain, despite all the lies and spins to justify the way, went along and supported it. This whole pile of crap that they represent must be flushed. This society has suffered for 8 years. We don't need 4 more, are you kidding? The GOP stinks.

Go Obama!

This war is not a winnable war. If McCain had good judgment he would know that.

I'd have more problems with someone who was unable to change their minds even after being shown that their way doesn't work. Isn't that the definition of "insane"? Someone who does things the same way, but expects a different result?

Default This has not been fun.

I'm sorry it looks like a delete bomb went off in here but one bad post can sometimes cause a lot of work for us. Everybody just take a deep breath, regroup, and get back on topic with some good wholesome debate. I know you can all play nice. I've seen most of you around for quite a while. Now go at it.

Default a polite suggestion

may I make a polite suggestion? as a former political science instructor, I always reminded my students to listen to opinions, and recognize them as just that: opinions.

one of the problems with a 2 party system is that it can be so polarizing. try not to allow that to happen to you, or you may overlook the issues. this isn't a cowboy movie where the good guys are all in white hats and the reverse for the bad.

always check the facts. the facts are all that matters. you can go to projectvotesmart.org and look up the actual voting records of all of the candidates(and please remember there are 4). you can also check the voting records of individual members of our government.

you might be very surprised to see how a candidate votes. for example, Mccain has voted to deny a portion of social security benefits to beneficiaries who earn over 40,000.00. Obama voted against it. one would think that it would be the other way around.

if you check the acusations made during the debates, you may find many either complete untruths or partial truths.

often, what the politician says on tv is not anything like how he/she has voted. you must check the facts.

another website I would encourage you to use is The Seattle Times: Earmarks (http://community.seattletimes.nwsource.com/favorfactory/earmark.php?id=4864 - broken link) This website will enable you to see who got earmarks, what they got them for (or who). you can then trace the money all the way back into the politicians' pockets. for example, I traced a tennessee representative's earmark to a college in nashville. it is a liberal arts college in nashville ran by a former congresswoman who was kicked out of congress for ethics violations. she is black and so is the student body. therfore, it looks good for earmarks. 2 tennessee representatives earmarked a substantial amount of money for the college. the money was for a program that the college does not even teach(rocket science). later, after receiving the money, both tennesseeans were invited to speak at the school. their fees were 50% of the earmark. see how it works? oh, and don't allow the contributions to the politicians' reelection campaigns fool you. they are small and intended to throw you off track. remember: follow the money.

it is my opionion that most are there to pick our pockets. they are not interested in government. sadly. we are being raped, and it is both parties doing it.

and remember rule #1 in debating: he who resorts to name-calling first LOSES. you don't need to call names. the facts are bad enough.

thank you for taking the time to read this.

When his supporters clearly see proof that he or Biden lied they pretty much just baby these guys like they always do. They would just say something like oh well he was taken out of context or something like that. Obama Bin Laden is the biggest joke of a candidate I can recall in a very long time. He makes Jimmy Carter look like a Saint.

Joe Biden's 14 Lies

1. TAX VOTE: Biden said McCain voted “the exact same way” as Obama to increase taxes on Americans earning just $42,000, but McCain DID NOT VOTE THAT WAY.

2. AHMEDINIJAD MEETING: Joe Biden lied when he said that Barack Obama never said that he would sit down unconditionally with Mahmoud Ahmedinijad of Iran. Barack Obama did say specifically, and Joe Biden attacked him for it.

3. OFFSHORE OIL DRILLING: Biden said, “Drill we must.” But Biden has opposed offshore drilling and even compared offshore drilling to “raping” the Outer Continental Shelf.”

4. TROOP FUNDING: Joe Biden lied when he indicated that John McCain and Barack Obama voted the same way against funding the troops in the field. John McCain opposed a bill that included a timeline, that the President of the United States had already said he would veto regardless of it’s passage.

5. OPPOSING CLEAN COAL: Biden says he’s always been for clean coal, but he just told a voter that he is against clean coal and any new coal plants in America and has a record of voting against clean coal and coal in the U.S. Senate.

6. ALERNATIVE ENERGY VOTES: According to FactCheck.org, Biden is exaggerating and overstating John McCain’s record voting for alternative energy when he says he voted against it 23 times.

7. HEALTH INSURANCE: Biden falsely said McCain will raise taxes on people's health insurance coverage -- they get a tax credit to offset any tax hike. Independent fact checkers have confirmed this attack is false

8. OIL TAXES: Biden falsely said Palin supported a windfall profits tax in Alaska -- she reformed the state tax and revenue system, it's not a windfall profits tax.

9. AFGHANISTAN / GEN. MCKIERNAN COMMENTS: Biden said that top military commander in Iraq said the principles of the surge could not be applied to Afghanistan, but the commander of NATO's International Security Assistance Force Gen. David D. McKiernan said that there were principles of the surge strategy, including working with tribes, that could be applied in Afghanistan.

10. REGULATION: Biden falsely said McCain weakened regulation -- he actually called for more regulation on Fannie and Freddie.

11. IRAQ: When Joe Biden lied when he said that John McCain was “dead wrong on Iraq”, because Joe Biden shared the same vote to authorize the war and differed on the surge strategy where they John McCain has been proven right.

12. TAX INCREASES: Biden said Americans earning less than $250,000 wouldn’t see higher taxes, but the Obama-Biden tax plan would raise taxes on individuals making $200,000 or more.

13. BAILOUT: Biden said the economic rescue legislation matches the four principles that Obama laid out, but in reality it doesn’t meet two of the four principles that Obama outlined on Sept. 19, which were that it include an emergency economic stimulus package, and that it be part of “part of a globally coordinated effort with our partners in the G-20.”

14. REAGAN TAX RATES: Biden is wrong in saying that under Obama, Americans won't pay any more in taxes then they did under Reagan.
WOW, awesome post! I'm sure none of this will be brought up by the press. Everyone needs to check facts on both sides and educate themselves instead of being blind followers or zombies for press. I feel like we need a total uhaul in congress because things need to change period!
