Obama will never carry GA or SC, so the odds are minimal.
I was in Atlanta on a business trip a couple of weeks ago and the only cars I saw with Obama bumperstickers were with black drivers. Meanwhile, out in the suburbs (I was in the Fort Mac/Southern ATL area), I saw McCain signs almost everywhere and no Obama signs at all. I saw a huge billboard on the highway that compared Obama to Osama Bin Laden. I'm orginally from New England, and this was my first time in GA and I was shocked.
Unlike the rest of America where white support for Obama is very common, Georgia seemed very racially polarized to me.
NE Tennessee has alot more Obama signs, Mccain signs, I did see some in the Western NC area, where they have trailers
NOT ALL of the south is polarized, people are informed. Thank God.

Doubt he will get SC. FL has more registered Dems than Reps by about 150,000 so he should get FL.
I never thought NC or VA would be up for grabs.. I think he can get VA, not sure about NC.
NH will swing his way as well as ME, though NH is a toss up.
The rest of the E Seabord from DC on up.. no worries, blue country.
The Georgia article is interesting- I think he has a real chance there given all of the new black voters who have registered and likely will vote in that state.
SC- I'm not so sure. But who would have ever thought we'd be pretty certain about Virginia this early in the game and that NC would be a possibility?
