sanrene, your line "fighting for the US" is a blatant lie, but that is what I expect from a McBush-ite.

I love the "bless your heart" comment. We all know what that means, right?
On Sunshine's thread I pointed out what's actually funny about this:

That's not why her son is in Iraq AT ALL!

Yes, everyone got the typically-Repug passive-aggressive "bless your heart."

Repressed hypocritical types really love this stuff, I wonder why.

I could post comments about why someone could be conceived as SHALLOW because of their concentration on how their opponents look and their total lack of self esteem shown by their continual posting of their photo(or someone's photo) and talking about how lovely and fit they are....but I wouldn't do that.

I wouldn't do that because it might point out the only reason Palin has a following at all.

Better to burn a flag than be wrapped in it so tightly you can't see.

True delusianne. But I think a lot of people equate the troops with "fighting for freedom", no matter where they are or what they are doing at the time (occupying Iraq).

And to those who think that the symbol of our country, the American flag, is more important than the ideals, people and the constitution it represents, you're just plain looney.

Good quote Who?Me?

The troops are not fighting for OUR freedom in Iraq as repubs have stated....and it 's debatable if they're even fighting for Iraqi freedom.

The "flag burning " non-issue keeps their eyes off the meaningful stuff....

Are people still that stupid to believe crap like that? People were told the same thing when the government sent troops to Vietnam, Panama, Grenada, etc. Sending to troops to little countries thousand of miles away to protect my freedom? Yeah right.

Meaningles phrases like that appeal to "low-information" voters. Otherwise known as Republicans.

She said the same thing in Omaha. I don't get it. What's the problem? They do have the right to protest, and she simply responded.... no big deal...
