a RECORD number of people voted early yesterday in North Carolina on just one of the early voting days. More than 100,000 people voted yesterday in the Tarheel state and data from the state board of elections showed that 64% of the voters who went to the polls yesterday were democrats and only 21% were republicans. Folks, based on those percentages, it doesnt look good for McCain in North Carolina. And you know if Obama wins North Carolina, he'll win Virginia as well.
possible so they can sleep at night, mark my words, NC will not turn blue this election.
I said the same thing until a couple weeks ago. I figured there was no way in hell NC would vote for Obama. I also didn't expect Dole to be lagging behind Hagan. I'm still curious where Hayes actually stands in the polls. I've seen numbers all over the place. As a registered Republican, I'll be voting for Hagan (grudgingly) and for Kissell. It's time to turn this state around. Munger will get my vote for Governor.
I suspect most of the early voters are city folks, which always go democrat anyways.
I would agree but I think the city folk have the numbers now. Even if they don't there are more rural voters going for Obama than I expected. My adopted mother who is...shall we say rather openly racist in private (meaning if she knows you well then the comments will start slipping) is voting Obama which surprised the tarnation out of me. So are the rest of my registered Rep family members - all in a very, very rural part of NC. I graduated with a whopping 81 people in a high school that serviced three different towns if that tells you anything about how rural the area they live in is.

I think its interesting to note that these arent polls. These are actual people voting and to see such a wide margin between democrats and republicans has to be unsettling to the McCain campaign.
I saw that when I checked my registration. it really means nothing. just another example of someone ended an election that hasn't started. YAWN. I know that this INDEPENDENT will be voting for john galt.
