I really liked Hiliary the best out of all of them, but Obama gets my vote (already done--mail in election). I think Obama will turn out to be a very good president if he gets elected. He won't be perfect, but I think it will be an improvement over the last 8.
John McCain I feel deserves much respect for the war years, stress he endured. He was a maverick, I think, in some respect--I used to like him, but he's sided w/Bush too much which is a major turn off for me.
Palin is a disaster--nothing good I can come up with.

Well, it's not hard to think of something positive to say about most people. I think we ought to be able to concede that.

McCain has obviously worked very hard with the country in mind and has overcome quite a few obstacles in his life. That he survived being a POW alone is admirable.

I thought that picture of McCain sticking his tongue out following Obama after the debate the other night was very cute!!

Sarah reminds me of my dear cousin, Donna, who's always laughing.

I watched them both at the NY dinner last night and saw a side of both of them that I found delightful. Too bad the entire campagne could not have been this civil. My family has finally beaten me into a pulp and I will vote for Obama. I think I am voting for him for entirely different reasons than my posse will be. I feel every generation should taste a little socialisim and this will be painful for many small business owners and people trying to retire. It will be very interesting to see how he governs this country and I will wish him well. He faces the challenge of cleaning up Washington and that I will be watching closely.

Sarah Palin is still someone I wouldn't mind "having lunch" with. She tries to be a decent person though I do think she's been off path a bit in recent days. I wish her well.
I think McCain showed more of himself on Letterman and at the roast than he has in a very long time. I also wish him well.
Joe Biden is more of the "everyman" to me. He represents the middle class more for me. I truelly like him, he's second on my list for people I wouldn't mind "having lunch" with.
Barack Obama has been consistent, calm and he most closely represents my views on what will help the country. I think he would do an excellant job.

if obama is elected, I will pray for him to have wisdom.

that is about as close to nice as you will get me to be. I dont think he will take the country in a new direction. I think his intention is to take this country back to the FDR to Jimmy Carter era.

It wont distroy us but it will take us back to something that a lot of us have battled for a long time.... maybe it simply is that conservitisim has finally lost out. maybe this is a last gasp of that ultra liberalism of the 1960's.

I dont know. I do know that at the end of the day I will still be an American and America will still be the last best hope for humanity.

I also wish 40 republican senators for Barak Obama!

When Obama wins I feel bad for the wolves of Alaska, as Sarah is going back to Alaska, and she is going to be mad! Run Wolves, run. Head for Canada.

There are qualities in both men. At this time the qualities of Obama is what America needs to move forward. I know McCain is a republican but i'm sure Obama can use McCains skills in a Obama administration.I really believe the Palin factor cost McCain many votes. I wish McCain many more years serving his country, he is an honourable man and Obama good luck in turning America around and out of crisis.

Thanks to all who really said something nice about the other ticket. It is easy to get dragged into smears and on this thread easy to get angry. I'm sure if honest in these last days I will again get into that mode again. We all feel great pride in who we vote for and sometmes get mad when someone can't see the point we are making. I think we are lucky to live in a place when we can freely share what we think and vote how we feel. THe real sad part is people who don't vote at all and so I say to them don't complain later if you aren't part of the process now.

Sarah Palin has been hugely entertaining. John McCain seems to be a good man, and I hope this race hasnt hurt him physically. I hope they both live long and healthy, happy lives.
