And you don't think there are PLENTY of other things already in place in the country that could fall under that category? how about nationalizing banks which Gool ol' John McCain was SUCH a cheerleader for? I guess that makes him a socialist too...
Not nationalizing banks buying loans from banks, is not the same thing.
and Obama was for it also.
So the question is which one is less socialist?
McCain is way less. Actually if McCain does what he is saying it would be a BIG step towards capitalism(only if he keeps his words and reduce government size.)
I think this issue has already been put to rest. I didn't think this thread would grow to 21 pages this fast. The horse has already been beaten to death. But McCain/Palin can keep talking about it till they're blue in the face... it isn't helping them much in the polls.
cjma79,
if mccain does what he is saying, it will RUIN the economy! When you deregulate everything, THAT is when corporate greed runs rampant. Nothing will trickle down. The middle class will die.
That's just fear mongering. I'm sure the "spread the wealth" was taken out of context. If everyone had some extra cash, businesses would actually do much better and that would more than make up for any extra taxes paid by businesses - if any.
Boy...you are a funny guy...Thanks for the laugh!!!
In capitalism people take risk to have a potential to earn more money whatever the risk may be like investing or starting a new business.
If the business fails the only one seriously out is the business owner. The employees lose some but hardly as much as the one taking a risk. So why are people being greedy? Why don't they gather up their ambition and tryo for themselves.
The real losers in a more socialist type government are all the people themselves as it makes it harder and harder to even want ambition. Why would you when failure rates increase due to higher burdens?
This of course leaves out the breeding of a totalitarian leader. That's a dreadful reminder of the inherit evils of socialism. There is no evil in capitalism as anyone can thrive if they are willing to try. If you do not try though you can most certainly count on never thriving except in a rare few cases. So as we move towards socialism as it apparently seems the small majority in America are so wanting to do.....Do you really think having less capitalist in the society is a good thing? Do you really think we will have more jobs by demonizing capitalism.

that is funny when about 80% of CEO's are saying the something about Obama...
Do you know that overregulation cause this problem?

really? regulation got us here. de-regulation would have allowed the banks to quit offering risky loans they didn't want to lend to begin with.
consider this video clip of the great economical collapse you know today and obama helped build that has buckled our economy everywhere.
dont take my word for it, let obama tell you in this clip as he is interviewed in the 90's.
