Obama's average lead in RCP back up to 5.3%.
What do you mean "back up"? He had a RCP lead of over 7 just a few short days ago.

lol

Read the thread title and compare the numbers today with yesterday. Not with what you want to create an argument about. Many posters here consider their words carefully. Do you deny that in todays Gallup he is moving back in the up/widenening direction as the thread says? You and others were posting yesterday that the gap was closing and you acknowledge his lead today is greater and that is not the direction you were heralding earlier. Widening is directional and todays number at this point is in what direction from earlier?

You're right. I'm not still not happy with the super delegates, Florida and Michigan. There has to be a better way. Maybe next time.

That is not the focus of the thread, the focus is the direction of todays Gallup poll as measured against yesterdays. Both Rasmussen and all three Gallups have him up more today then yesterday. What tomorrow brings I will not predict but we can at this point in time on October 19,2008 reflect on the current numbers and make our comparisons based on those.

Yea, a high profile Republican endorsing Obama, that's pretty crushing for McCain.

I understand that, the title says Gallup: Obama Widens Lead and I predict that he will widen the lead more in a few more days.

I'm just pointing out the obvious. Actually he had a high RCP avg of 8.2 a few days ago.

Take that LV-expanded model. It is fluctuating. It has gone from 8 to 6 to 4 to 7 in just 4 days polling.

The traditional model has stayed basically the same.

That tells me he is playing with the demographics.
