It is truly a shame that the Republican Bush administration (with which John McCain voted 90% of the time- HIS OWN WORDS) has allowed our American Military to decline to the extent that they are forced to purchase their own weapons to fight a war that we never should have initiated in Iraq.
I'm sure most of our military is quietly hoping for an Obama victory.
It says a lot when the only poll the McCain supporters can cite is a skewed military poll. If we were a military dictatorship this might be relevant, otherwise...who cares?
who cares about what the retired military think? They are not fighting overseas and are likelythe largest subscriber to that periodical. Active duty soldiers are supporting Obama overwhelmingly.
I'm not surprised. If you want to find the true "best and the brightest" you have to look into the private sector, where intelligent folk go to not risk having their balls blown off.

It was the DEMOCRATS who opposed funding. Why would Bush do that to the troops???
Another poster without reading and conprehension skills? Active duty as well.
I don't get you. I'm saying, (although I'll admit it was phrased poorly) that retired military are not the ones fighting for us, and are not the ones with teh best knowledge on the ground. They should not factor into a candidate's "military" support.
