Let's all help the country dig itself out of the financial mess by acting locally - being prudent with money ourselves - all we can do.
Back in January? LOL He's been promising this stuff right up to this very week. If the economic crisis made it impossible to do some of what he's been promising, he would have come out and said something earlier if he was honest. He's playing his supporters for fools.

My entire thread???? I posted a piece about Obama trying to "let the people down easily" because he's not going to be able to deliver on all the STUPIDLY excessive lies he's been handing you. Plain black & white. Believe what you want, I'm just telling you what the messiah is saying. IF he gets in, he can't deliver. Why vote for him?

Thanks for getting the information out to the base for us, Fox, even if you had to encode it in the trusted negative style!

Right, keep telling yourself that. You've been sold a bill of goods & can't come to terms with it. Healthcare for all, tax cuts for everyone but the rich, his 2 big points & he can't deliver either. So, what does he have to offer????

NOTHING.

Liberals believe anything they here. Obama knows this so he just keeps telling them whatever they want. If he gets in office watch how quick the story changes....

But now - a news report from today, the subject of this thread - they're saying all that stuff probably wont be possible as initially planned. In other words, they're not going to go on a wild-eyed spending spree, they're going to be responsible.

That's what Fox was saying, even if they had to spin it to make it palatable for you. Sorry!

Well unless he's a total idiot he's known for a long time now his promises were unrealistic and impossible, but he didn't stop making them.

Im sure they've been aware for awhile, but it's possible they were crunching the numbers as best they could against what we can expect from this global "recession" and finally had to go to this announcement, which is pretty serious. Not to deflect, but McCain's promises are as expensive and he's not being honest about them even yet. (Though Im sure he'll come on now and promise us that his stuff is affordable even now - not mentioning that without borrowing the Treasury is basically depleted, even I know that.) So isnt it more honest of the Obama camp to fess up now, rather than on November 5?

And when we can afford them, the things Obama wants to accomplish - on a PAYGO system that he's always insisted he will use - are more beneficial to us than McCain's things.

Obama has essentially based his entire campaign on these promises. They're one of the main reasons (ignoring his slick speaking and people's dislike for Bush) he's gotten so popular, promising all sorts of fantastic things for people. Claiming to also be "change." And he's been lying and deceptive. He's clearly known for a long time now that he can't do this stuff he's promising. He's being very quiet about this statement (why isn't he putting it in his ads, in an obvious place on his website, etc.?), and still has all his impossible promises pasted on his website. He'll only come out more loudly about this if he's elected. Meanwhile, lies to buy votes. Just another lying politician trying to buy votes with lies.
