He has always promoted a "responsible exit strategy" within parameters acceptable to military commanders on the ground. He has also promoted shifting troops to Afghanistan where previous gains have been lost due to lack of adequate military forces - and he has also strongly advocated finding and seeking out those responsible for 9/11. Remember that guy, Osama bin Laden? Someone our current president seems to have forgotten about completely.
I love how everybody thinks we're not going after Bin Laden because we're in Iraq. Special forces are handling that. It's a MUCH different theater than Iraq, so it takes a different type of fight. Putting an army in there isn't going to do anything.
