Republican Secretary of State Karen Handel has decided that Georgia should extend voting times in an effort to suppress the vote. There are reports that lines were over 5 hours long and in some voting sites people had to wait nearly 8 hours during last weeks early voting. Karen Handel has also challenged thousand of voters whose names happen to have hispanic sur names and based on citizenship doubts. She is absolutely disgusting and will do whatever it takes to suppress democracy here in Georgia.

Interesting, both of your links are dead.

By the way, if the lines are that long, perhaps they should have more places available for voting.

If you think this is bad, just wait until the accuzations after the election, no matter who wins. It will be much much more than in other years. We haven't seen anything yet.

Here is the original article which details suppression of the latino vote in Georgia

http://southernstudies.org/facingsouth/ ... istent.asp

they should be checked out to see if they are illegally trying to vote

125% of the eligible voting population has been registered.

so someone is committing voter registration fraud. at least and if they vote then voter fraud.

Frankly I believe that they should check ALL voters casting votes this year.
to make sure that they actually have the right to vote.

Are you in favor of non citizens voting?

No I am not.

But it is wrong to challenge only ballots that have latino names.

You forgot to add "based on citizenship doubts". You try to insinuate that they see an hispanic name and instantly challenge for no other reason, yet no evidence to show. Your Google link doesn't tell the whole story. Do you not believe non citizens should be weeded out, or is this just a typical liberal "voter supression" cry at the drop of a hat?

Something is amiss here.

In all my years of voting, I've never heard so many millions voting before election day.

I at least hope that when the numbers are totaled it's very high percentage of people voting. Not like in 2004 when 64% of those voted.

I suspect the OP is a troll, the links are invalid and these accusations are outrageous.
