As a nation, and stop all of this bickering with each other. I realize that there are a lot of differences, but this is a very difficult time in this country.

Regardless of who wins, we need to support our next President in these difficult times.

I realize there are a lot of differences between the two candidates, but try to find some common ground if you can. I've never seen this country so divided and I hope that comes to an end, and quickly.

I will support my President regardless of party affiliation. No, I won't support him against my moral and ethical beliefs but I do believe we have to come together as a nation and quit bickering with each other.

I will not support or respect Obama if he wins. I couldn't in good conscience and I'm not going to be hypocritical.

To support and respect anyone who disgusts you, whether it be McCain or Obama, would be hypocritical.

Nice try, Syn. I'd like to think that when the emotional fallout has faded, most Americans will look forward and support our new President.

The OP is correct. Unfortunately those elected don't see it that way. Party line is all they can see and its unfortunate that many voters see it the same way.
This financial crisis might have been prevented had the two parties worked together for the last 8 years.
For the last 2 years the 2 parties set records for pork spending and focused on little else.
Finger pointing rules the day.
We know its broke. Instead of focusing on whose fault it is we should focus on the solutions and compromise.

Me either. Plus, I don't know how to compromise with people who thinks it OK to pick my pocket.

What choice will we have? I do hope that if McCain does win that he does not die in office, and that Obama supporters will somehow be able to work together at the grassroots level to bring about some of the changes that are needed to help heal this country.
