Not all 57 million, but there can be no doubt that the majority of the GOP's appeal is centered in "white trash" America.

The Economist did not call the Republicans the white trash party, they just quoted one person that made that comment. Its important to make that distinction as the Economist would not do something that irresponsible, IMO.

I am neither uneducated, Black or trash. I am also a Democrat the supported and voted for President elect Obama. I think the Republicans pander to the most frightened and uninformed of the white voter population because there just are not enough Ivy League highly educated well established wealthy aristocrats to carry an election.

no, the facts do back it up. you just don't want to recognize it because it doesn't fit into your agenda. you take a small percentage of a party, and stereotype the entire party. I did the same thing. how are you failing to see that?

Obama won the vote that had not HS diploma

63% to 35%

He BARELY won the college graduate

50% to 48%

It is amazing what facts tell us.
