How is that manufactured Iraq War working out for you Republicans? What about that Barack the Magic Negro hit single from your prospective party leader? All I can tell you is that my hometown, which I think went 80% in favor of Bush in both 2000 and 2004 has seen a huge drop in Republican voter registration and a huge rise in Democratic voter registration. And my parents, both lifelong Republicans, have re-registered as Democrats. So, how's all of the working out for you buddy? Clearly us Democrats are doing something right.

The Iraq war is not a part of history or the present to benefit the Republican Party.

Democrats would rather see Iraqi genocide I suppose. Do you know that there was a murderous dictator there?

Because there is a trend for folks to vote for Democrats doesn't mean that ..... "Clearly, you Democrats are doing something right".

Hmmm, it seems you having some growing up to do. Things are going just fine for me -- BUDDY.

I don't know how far you secular progressive NAMBLA defenders want to carry things, but it's not good to vote for socialism with a twist of policies designed to victimize more sons and daughters.

Yes, clearly the mature response is to bring up age. And obviously Democrats are doing something right. For one, they don't release racist songs about the President. I haven't heard a song released by Democrats about Bush the Pinche Gringo, have you?

What a good plan. Let's also take personal days and vacation days away from African Americans. While we're at it, let's take their holidays away. Christmas, Thanksgiving, etc. are worthless holidays. Vacations and personal days are a waste of time. Heck, let's make them work when they are sick. Oh, wait, we tried that before 1865, and it didn't work out too well.

Do you not see how racist this thread is?

Direct me to a thread or a post stating that those of us in the mainstream Democratic party support NAMBLA. This is a deliberate inflamatory post.

I apologize to you. My post number 15 was written with the assumption that the above statement only applied to African Americans. You were really talking about EVERYONE who takes Tuesday off.

My statement about the racist nature of this thread, however, stands.

I understand blacks taking the day off. It is a special day for them. A SIGNIFICANT page is turned when it comes to race.

Whites. please. In 2001, I didnt see too many non-DC Repubs having inauguration parties after 8 years of an oversexed hilbilly, they were mostly WORKING A JOB.

Im hoping Obama stays the apparent course of competence over dogma. We shall see. If he has class... That is something this country has not seen in a POTUS in ***16 YEARS***

I don't know how vacation days work in your company, but in my business we give employees a certain number and they can use them as they wish. Whether they take Tuesday off, or they choose to take a day off in August, people are still going to take the same amount of vacation days.

And this way they're spending $$$ in the US instead of some other vacation spot like Aruba. If anything, people attending the inauguration are helping to ease the financial mess.

Props to him for giving three months notice!

I don't blame him; if I were black I'd probably find a way to be there no holds barred. It's a momentous time for African Americans, especially those that voted for him (which I didn't).

The guy sounds like a stand up fellow to me. He gave three-months notice, which is what more than most people would do.
