My job is as an upper-end marketing associate at a very successful car dealership. AND it's going to come second to the Inauguration of OUR COUNTRYS' LEADER. If the man don't like it...then he ain't a patriot.

Not only would I not waste my time attending this inauguration but I wouldn't waste my time on any inauguration. The country is in trouble. screw the parties and get to work.
In defence of blacks who wish to attend. This is the first black president ever. Its a milestone in black history as well as american history. I can't blame blacks for being pumped up and excited.

Don't you and the others on this board who want to work Tuesday (as sadly, I have to do as well) get vacation days to use as you see fit? If someone wants to take a day off, let 'em.

I get 5 weeks per year. I just wouldn't waste a day for political hoopla.
The people I refer to getting to work are our elected reps. They are after all the ones who buried us in debt. With their job performance I would say they rate getting fired. But they weren't so the least they can do is to get to work.

Note to amerifree: The "Man" does not care that you do poorly in your career. The "Man" does not care if you are black or white or anything in between. And now when times are going to get tough the evil "Man" won't care when you are shocked that there are no more hand outs.

Oh, and btw the "Man" doesn't care what you do. Honestly. Go sit on the corner and eat donuts instead of working at your fancy job. Don't go to work. Just a guess on my part, but your boss notices your priorities. Or if he doesn't, HIS BOSS DOES.

And, a final guess. The auto industry is in a shakedown mode and those that are like you are going to be really, really shocked when Obama doesn't help you out.
