As I was listening to Obama's speech his question sounded very similar to JFK's question "Ask not what your country can do for you; ask what you can do for your country."
Obama's question will probably be one of his most memorable parts of his inaugural speech. But also, it is a valid question, especially for all of his critics who are questioning his economic recovery plan.

Wow! I just hope and pray that you are wrong. But I am listening
There are valid questions about whether government works well or not.
One way I would change government is get rid of all of the silly initiatives from the Enterprise group (of retired & connected high ranking military officials). They cause flutter and do not add to any efficiencies, they cause deficiencies in our ability to perform our jobs.
It's simply another way to filter money to retired generals with no benefit to the taxpayer.

Wrong. What they have is something called 'scab labor'. As long as a subset of people are allowed into the country that are willing to work for subpar wages, they will get the jobs. Just remember, you get what you pay for.

Me too.....I am actually (unfortunately) going to hold him to a higher standard. We are in bad trouble,he is smart enough and he has an open road ahead of him with the public behind him.IF he screws this up, I will lose ALL faith in politicians(I don't really have any left, but even the residue will be gone).

He already told us to start spending and saving more responsibly and told Congress that they're in for a grim era of transparency. Government waste - if a program isn't working, it goes out. I love this. I hope his decisions are so incontrovertibly sensible that there's absolutely NOTHING for the RW propagandists to honestly complain about (), they all lose market share, and we can approach becoming a united nation for a change.
