To say your taxes have increased, is a BOLD FACED LIE. That is what it is, nothing else to it, BOLD FACED LIE. Obama enacted a $400 tax credit which went to 95% of Americans for 2009 and 2010. That is a fact.
Now as far as foreclosures, bankruptcies, business loss, repos, homeless, etc, those problems just don't happen overnight. Most of the foreclosures that occurred during 2009, as well as most bankruptcies, business loss, etc were from people who were in financial trouble well before Obama took office. In the majority of the country those who are going through foreclosure, have been having problems paying for their mortgage for at least a year. Almost 2.2 million jobs were lost during Bush's last three months in office. We were in a massive free fall as Bush was leaving.
As far as the 8% figure. First off it was meant to compare stimulus to no stimulus, and how it would impact the recovery. It was made with the best stats available at the time. The chart was made well BEFORE the Stimulus was passed, it was made BEFORE Obama even took office, it was made BEFORE the last couple of BRUTAL jobs report from the Bush administration were known, it was made BEFORE the BRUTAL 2008 4th quarter earnings report was released. It was made during a time when everyone knew the economy was in trouble, but no one from either side of the aisle knew the extent of the economic free fall that Obama would be facing when he took over.
No sense in arguing with robots who believe Obama is something he is not.
If he was so darn good he would not have allowed this economy to WORSEN since he took office, especially since he stole millions from the tax payers to fix all those problems.

He never said 5 million jobs would be created overnight or in the first year. So to say he lost those jobs makes no sense at all.
As far as Reid and Pelosi taking over in early 07. First of all the problems that led to the downturn in the economy were years in the making. Secondly, even with Reid and Pelosi taking over, Bush still controlled everything and got exactly what he wanted. The Dems majority in the Senate was slim, the GOP filibustered everything and anything the Dems tried to pass, and Bush had the veto. He was in control.
Bush had the worst job creation record of ANY President since the BLS started keeping track of the stats in the late 30's. The total jobs created under Bush in 8 years were MUCH worse than anyone else. It was BEYOND HORRID. Not only did every other President who served two terms had more job creation than Bush, but so did Carter and his father who only served one term. Hell, Kennedy and Ford who didn't even serve a full term had more jobs created during their tenure than Bush did in EIGHT YEARS.
This isn't a broken promise. This is speculation and fearmongering. And saying Bush and Reagan taxed the middle class isn't an excuse, it's a FACT. It just so happens your types only complain when a Dem does it, or in this case think he will.
