They've already started that process, which began last year withat worthless stimulus package.

Toss in the prospect of oil going back over $100.00 a barrel later this year or early next year according to both Barclays Bank & Goldman Sacks, more bloodbaths in the real estate industry, and the Democrats could very easily lose control of the House.

If the 59% of the voters (CNN poll) who opposed his budget-busting health plan the day he signed it take to the polls, as well as an expected avalanche of seniors due to the bombshells awaiting Medicare recipients, they're in for a bloodbath just like 1994.

True. Sometimes I don't think they sleep at all. It must be very time-consuming methodically planning the collapse of the US.

What happened to working the the much needed JOBS issue?
That was just a public relations thing......I mean, a lie.

The dems cannot see they have destroyed 9 million jobs in America in 14 months?
Nope. It was ALL Bush's fault. Every job loss that has occured under BO's watch......is only regarded as collateral damage created by the previous admin.
In other words........NOT their party's fault since they can do NO wrong, in their teeny weeny minds.

People wont forget that especially since they promised 5 million NEW jobs.
NO.....they sure won't!
NOT this year.
Far too much...... across the land and it ain't going away, until enough people truly believe America IS really.....heading in the RIGHT direction again.

Already starting to.
Some of 'em have already started scattering like cockroaches when the lights go on, and it's funny too.

Let us pray really, really hard that this is the case in nov. The dems and obama need to be taught a lesson, a really hard and devastating lesson, that being when you thwart the WILL of the American people by pushing through a radical agenda, that just might come back to bite you.
sanrene !!! ... May It Be As You Say !!!

The probability of this blessed event is precisely what is required to prompt a speedy and well earned "EXIT" of this crew from the WH and other areas of the pathetic "Political Circus" in Washington D.C.

So Mote It Be ! Thanks / Old Sgt. Lamar

dcsldcd !!! ... Your post is well within the mark !

This crew will most definitely ram through as much of their destructive agenda items as possible before they recceive the "Big Boot" out of Washington D.C. for the long term !!!

American's hold on to your Butt's ..... A rough road lies ahead for this great nation. Although it appears the tide is turning .....

The danger is that obama and the dem leadership, knowing a election catastrophe is imminent, will attempt to push through MORE radicalism before they lose their majorities. Same thing AFTER the election but before a new congress takes over.

I would suspect that you are correct with this observation.
Given their track record so far, it is highly likely that you are right.

Maybe......it's ALL this administration ever truly wanted and they never expected to see a second term anyway.

Sounds plausible.

Will he tackle the VAT, Amnesty or Cap & Tax before November? That will be the determining factor, IMO.
VAT! This is the latest "they're coming to get you" theme of the righties. NO ONE from the White House (or AFAIK the Ds in Congress) has even mentioned a VAT. And why would they? It's a very regressive tax, just like the (totally inappropriately named) FAIR tax. That doesn't stop everyone on the right from saying "ooooh, just you wait, he's going to impose a VAT!"

Amnesty! You mean like the righties favorite god Ronald Reagan did? Let's face facts, the right absolutely loves the immigrant situation the way it is;

1. The right gets a "whipping boy"/strawman issue to rail about. Kind of like abortion, which they really don't want overturned, it would dry up a lot of their funding.

2. Their business owners get a low wage worker, that they don't pay benefits to. Moreover they have a ready source of cheap workers who CAN'T JOIN UNIONS, and more importantly CAN'T VOTE. The current situation is a win-win for the right.

Oh and to whichever of you idiots wrote that "the left loves Silver because he's a leftie", you are DEAD WRONG. But then you probably generally are anyway. Thinking people on the left and right like him BECAUSE HE IS SO OFTEN RIGHT.

You know who Paul Volcker is, don't you?

Verily, Volcker avers VAT is in the vicinity | Analysis & Opinion | Reuters

Quote:
The United States should consider raising taxes to help bring deficits under control and may need to consider a European-style value-added tax, White House adviser Paul Volcker said on Tuesday.
One of obama's most trusted economic advisers.

CBO Head: Something's Got to Give in Federal Budget - AOL News

Quote:
Speaking at a breakfast with reporters in Washington today, CBO Director Douglas Elmendorf said his job doesn't involve deciding whether the tax -- or any other budget change -- is a good idea. But he did say members of Congress have begun asking questions about it.
Now, ask yourself, which members would be interested in implementing such a tax?

There is only two ways out of the hole obama is digging - cut spending or raise taxes - which do you think the dems/libs would be interested in?
