Got a tip for you, liberals do not like war period, whether it be Afghanistan or otherwise. The fact that Afghanistan has been going on for almost a decade has gotten even liberal-lites tired of war. The war is 2 years longer than 2008 and US soldiers are dying by the busload over there. I think it's nice that you'd like to THINK liberals don't mind the Afghan war, but in reality it's a wedge issue and if you can't realize that...oh well. Neo-cons would vote for Price on these issues other than the fact that he's such a hated person in his district among this group. Even my liberal ex-gf called him David Pr*ck because he was extremely rude to her students during a field trip in early 2008 (she's a teacher at a local magnet school). Of course you glossed over the patriot act and the federal reserve but that's ok.

I'll end this on a positive note for now...let the best man win!

Lawson gets the nod.

Ron Paul Endorses B.J. Lawson | Lawson for Congress

Ron Paul's endorsement was the major reason why several anecdotal cases of Obama voters broke ranks on Price.

Things are looking up for Lawson. I figured he was going to lose but at least it would be a "moral" victory if he could make it a tight race. It's beginning to look like he has a shot at winning this.
I think Christine O'Donnell winning had some effect on voters who thought Tea Party candidates don't have much of a chance. The upstart underdog story is always a good read. Like it or not, there is a segment of voters who like the story more than the issues.

You can volunteer to make calls for Lawson if you wish, even from your own cell and remotely, and even if you're not in the 4th. Just go ahead and contact their campaign. They'd love to hear from you. There are still a lot of independents in the district who are sitting this out and need a reason to vote. Debate is scheduled for early October at UNC, unfortunately it will not be televised (but undoubtedly will be Youtube'd)

I think establishment GOPers will still vote for Lawson even if they were Roche supporters during the primary. Anyone but Price is a good enough message for even the staunchest of neo-cons.

Absolute pwnage on the debate. Price fumbled with generalities and was bushwhacked by Lawson's response saying that Price was all about big oil by voting for the $75m liability cap.

Was Obama really ever that cool though? Or did the media just try to make us think he was? How cool can he be with such an angry, classless wife?

Now sure, if his wife was Iman. But Bowie already snagged her.

Price seemed rather surprised and flustered about the $75m cap for oil companies that he signed when speaking about offshore oil drilling off the NC coast. It kind of disintegrated any chance of a proper rebuttal. He's not used to having real competition since 1998 when he regained his seat. Even in 1994 when he lost, it was sort of an upset. Methinks that after he helped redistrict to include the pseudo-intellectual coffeeshop trolls in CH and the "black vote" of Durham, he thinks he's invincible no matter how bad the Dems' reputation is. We'll just have to see...that debate was made up of approximately 75%-25% in favor of Lawson supporters.

Someone on bluenc mentioned one of the big boys submitting another poll that is within the margin of error. This time it wasn't a Lawson sponsored poll, but one of the independents. We'll see if that rumor holds water.
