I'd say yes, that is Irina. Best known for her modeling for the Italian Intimissimi lingerie line and Sports Illustrated Swimsuit Edition. The swimsuit might be doing some lifting there possibly.
I laugh @ anybody not choosing Eastern European countries as at least 1/3 or 1/2 of their choices.
wow.
my only guess is that most people have only traveled to UK, France, Germany, Italy, etc. and are voting for the countries they've seen. Because if anybody here had gone to Eastern Europe the polls would look a lot different

Thank you for reminding me, Eastern European has some very beautiful people as well. I did put Poland in my top, and I might revise it to put Russia in somewhere.
Northen looks are not as appreciated here as you think. We have a bunch of blonde (natural) and redhaired women and they are not as popular as brunette or dark haired ones. We also have different ethnicities, among them Britons and Germanics (Visigoths, Suevians, Cymbrians). Spanish, French and Italians are not monolithic at all, but a group of ethnic groups. They are more like Russia and Ukraine in that respect, but not monolithic as Caucasic republics.
Russian are not perceived as nordic, but as Slavic.

This is what I am talking about.
This is an example the Nordic type of Russian women and what I've often observed, this was the type that Southern men ( ie Italians, Spaniards) were the most attracted to.
Now someone like Irina Shaykhlislamova ( because that's her real name) doesn't look anything like Slavic woman, really. Because technically she is not, and she is saying herself that people often think that she is South American. The reason behind it, is that she is the result of mixture between Russians and ethnic minorities, ( Tatar in this case, her father,) which often produces very "good-looking" results. In fact, a lot of good-looking Russian women who do not look plain Nordic, have probably some admixture down their bloodlines, be that Caucasians, Kazakhs or what's not. And that's what gives them slightly exotic look, while they still also retain European features, inherited from their Slavic part of the family ( high chick bones, lighter eye color, for example.)
As for the Italians/Spaniards being blond/having the variety of looks - sorry to say but the predominant look of the Southerners is still Dark hair/Brown eyes, even if you see some occasional blonds in their midst, like, say, my girl-friend's husband. Even though the look of course varies from Southern to Northern regions, it's still not the Nordic look, and you could still spot Germans miles ahead)))
They are a headache for everybody, just as any beautiful East European girl that marries a westener for money. Communism did not produce "the new man", but magpies that go after glitter.
And keeps on producing and producing twenty years after the fall of that aforementioned communism...
It's not communism, it's the Russian culture that produces the ultra-feminine women and macho men, with all the ideas of "man providing," while woman is destined to dazzle him with her gorgeous looks and sex appeal. So the more dazzling the looks, the higher the price to pay.
I can see where this kind of women can cause a headache for American men for example, who are more used to see "business partners" in their wives, but in Southern cultures that are also predisposed to machismo, this type of Russian women can be a better fit.
I usually like, and agree, with your posts. When I've been in Spain's Andalusia, the Moorish ancestry that crossed near the Strait of Gibraltar is obvious. In the many times I've been to Sicily, I found more light-skinned people there than in most of Spain. They may have dark hair and brown eyes, but a lot of them are fair skinned. The differences between the Spaniards and the Italians, in terms of coloring/complexion, are minimal, but the Moorish presence on the Iberian peninsula is highly visible.
