$2-3K should be good for one person. Also, definitely pair down the list. Personally I would skip London, but that's me.
Biggest thing about London for me is the music sites I wanna see, so I cant.
I know Berlin is much easier on the wallet and so is Barcelona.
I initially considered Southern and Eastern Europe as its much more cost-friendly but I wanna do the more alpha cities of Western Europe. The others will come in time.
2000$ would be enough in my opinion... But it totally depends on what you're planning to do.
Night in a hostel: will probably average at around €25 (London is more expensive; one night at Generator hostel costs €39 atm; check hostelbookers.com)
Food: If you're eating out all the time probably around €25; a lot cheaper, if you just buy some food at the supermarket
Sightseeing: Let's say €15 a day
Transportation: €7 a day
Booze: €15 a day; less during the week, more during the weekends.
Roughly €1.218 ($1.650) for 2 weeks.
Edit: Forgot the EuRail ticket. That probably costs around 300€?

I personally would slow it down a bit and do London, Paris and maybe one more city. Remember on your first and last day plus travel days between those cities you'll busy catching trains, planes, finding hostels etc. That leaves you with more like ten actual sightseeing days. London and Paris can easily command a week each and you still will have barely seen the major sights. Barcelona and especially Rome are some distance south. If you really want a European whirlwind, do the big three: London, Paris, Rome. If you want to minimize travel time and do a northern tier, do London-Paris-Amsterdam-Berlin. For quality time, just do London and Paris. I would advise against a London-Paris-Barcelona-Berlin itinerary.

Yeah, I was thinking London, Paris and Rome. Big 3.
Ive been advised to go where its cheapest, mainly Southern Italy, the Mediterranean, but I just wanna do the big cities first and get them outta the way.
I am fine with doing London and Paris for a week or two.
How much would that be if I stayed in hostels? food? museums? bars?
$1500 just for London and Paris?
