Well Anglians consider themselves to be Catholic in the Universal sense and Protestant also. Their service is very like a Catholic one but they are most definitely Protestants.
There are too many Protestant religions, you couldn't even begin to count them even in each individual church there are branches again. Its great that there is choice but it makes me wonder sometimes if god would approve of this. Its common not to goto church but most are baptised.
It seems like evangelical protestantism has caught on a lot in Latin America. There's not much of in most of the Northeast, especially outside of the rural areas, so if I see certain evangelical sects in big cities I assume they're a hispanic congregation. The few religious billboards in New England I've seen are from them. Evangelical? church, Cambridge, MA (by Boston):
We have them here and also some of the American religion channels. I wish we'd get rid of those shows, they are annoying.
Oh yes I do but this isn't America so its annoying when they import those shows here.
I live in America and they are 'imported' to me, as well. I have never lived anywhere that evangelical Protestantism has been the dominant force. Also, they often have funny accents. :-)
Magnus, the Laestadians in Sweden also seem pretty "religiously crazy"...why are you point your finger only towards Americans? Also, what's so bad about being religious? It's their choice....so just leave them alone!

Well whatever, we see them as American shows and do not really want them. American style religion is increasing rapidly here.. Every year we have the Jehovas knocking on our door and also Other religions.
They advertise groups around towns and sing about god. I don't understand it, I really don't get it, these people make religion their livelihood and me I just goto church and then thats it.

You are not the only ones they knock doors on !! In your country, can you put up a sign *No Soliciting* ?
If we have that sign here on our front porch or door, nobody dares to ring our door bell ...
The sign on MY front porch:
NO SOLICITING
VIOLATORS WILL BE PROSECUTED

A lot of things bug me also, but I do not go around whining about it !
Those sales pitch channels and also especially those obnoxious sounding British accents ! **I don't understand it, I really don't get it, these people make selling stuff on TV their livelihood** Hmmm, sounds familiar ?
So I just skip those channels on my TV, I never see them !
But I know they are there !
