London has to be the best. A top 3 would be London, Rome and Madrid although the list could go on.

Berlin

So big, so historic, so diverse, so mysterious. I purchased a monthly metro pass and didn't sleep for days at a time. I lost myself, questioned who I was and what I wanted from life. Then Berlin started to form the individual I am today.

I don't have a favorite. How can you compare Paris with Istanbul? Two extremely different massive cities.

I haven't been to all the cities on the list but my top 5 would be:

Paris
Istanbul
Vienna
London
Prague

I don't get these threads. Have you been to the majority of European capitals? I didn't think I'd like Berlin at all before visiting...so how would I know I wouldn't like Minsk or Skopje the best on the continent? The answers will always be Paris or Amsterdam from people who have been to Paris, Amsterdam, and one or two other obvious, heavily-touristed cities.
