Just noticed Naples on the list, lol. No one would EVER put Naples...not even in their top 5.

anywhere in Italy. I really like Madrid... probably more than Barcelona. I also really liked Toledo, Spain... about and hour train ride outside of Madrid.

Pescara, (abruzzo) Italy. It has white sandy beaches, marine pine forests, green rolling hills, snow capped mountains, all in a 20 minute drive. Plus it's livable it is a large city but not a megalopolis like European Capitals. Another great city is Verona, it's story book beautiful, has an ancient amphitheater, livable, and less than an hour from lake Garda and 2 hrs from Milan.
