Russians most likely have little to say to either.

Actually, when it comes to Zelensky, Putin did it even in a more interesting way.

Zelensky started with inviting him to meet "at any place on the front line," because his major point is to engage Putin in the talks on Donbass ( and probably Crimea too.)
To which Putin responded to him "Why should you talk to ME regarding Donbass? This topic you should discuss with Pushilin and Pasechnik ( i.e. the heads of the DNR and LNR.) If you want to talk to ME, you are more than welcome to arrive to Moscow and talk about trade deals, energy and so on. But when it comes to Donbass - that you have to discuss it with the people over there."

Which of course shows that Zelensky ( and those who support his government) are in very uncomfortable position.
In fact it shows Zelensky his place as a puppet ( that he certainly is,) all while pretending to be a head of the sovereign state, AND pretending that Donbass with its resistance doesn't exist - it's all about "war with Russia, and Russia only." So he continues to promote the line taken by Poroshenko, who unleashed that war, deceptively naming it some "anti-terrorist" operation, in order to get the IMF loans.

Putin basically puts all the dots over "i" indicating that if you ( Zelensky that is) consider the LDNR as nothing but "Kremlin puppets," then you yourself is an American puppet, and therefore this should be your level of communication - dealing with the heads of the LDNR.

But Russian government ( i.e. Putin) will be talking to American government.

Or not.

All is pretty logical from Putin's side, since *Ukraine* is all about proxy war; not more and not less.

In other news;

According to Reuters, Youtube blocked three Ukrainian TV channels, that belong to openly pro-Russian forces in Ukraine; namely - Victor Medvedchuk and his "Opposition platform" party. ( Those were the 3 most popular channels on Ukrainian TV in the Eastern Ukraine, that were supposedly engaged in the "disinformation campaign," since they were criticizing Zelensky government.

The channels were banned by Zelensky earlier, but continued to broadcast on Youtube.

"We are pleased such an influential American company is willing to cooperate when it concerns issues of Ukrainian national security and Russian disinformation," Ukraine's embassy to Washington said in a tweet."

Well by now we already know that so-called "social media" ( supposedly neutral) can and does work as a political instrument indeed.

So it shouldn't come as a surprise, particularly that Russian government already changed its policies towards "Donbass question" ( and so are Donbass leaders) from everything I see and hear.

The rhetoric is VERY different now; the two official reps that are sent to the "Russian forum" in Donetsk are the kind of people that Putin should have listened back in 2014.

.

The people in Donetsk ( the one that make it public at least) are professing themselves as Russians through and through, and as a cherry on top, here I hear Putin's speech referring to Lenin's mistakes ( as a founder of the Soviet states) and what bomb he set under the very basis of the state with his ethnic policies.

Another honorable mentioning is the part of Putin's speech where he underlines that certain parts of what's now "Ukraine" were never part of it to begin with, and were given to Ukraine by Lenin, in order to beef up the "proletarian component of the USSR," since without it, it was too "agrarian, and therefore could fell to the bourgeois tendencies."

"What the heck" says Putin, "what kind of a reason is that?"

Lenin ( according to Putin) was not a statesman but a revolutionary.

The times they're a changing.

This would be really good news, nobody should participate in the West's genocide of Syrians.

The Russians and their friends should do the same with Venezuela. Maybe even open a joint Russian-Chinese military base there to openly violate Monroe.

I heard a few days ago that Russia and China are planning to build a huge pipeline, so I suppose Russia doesn't really care about Nord Stream 2 anymore, either. If the West violates the contract, they have to pay Russia a lot of money, and if it sticks to the pipeline, fine as well.

I find such lists useful. They could contain a grading system like at school, say a scale from 1 to 10. And that friendliness score could be applied to things like import taxes, visa applications, investments, ...

Russia lost its only space program function: using soviet rockets to ferry astronauts to the space station. While putin promises many great space programs (always just a little bit further in the future) the civilized world is exploring Mars and building a lunar program. Roscosmos: all talk, no action.

By the way. Speaking of space and the moon. These stupid Russians, they really can't understand anything. What are they doing? Instead of spending a lot of money, like all decent countries, to deliver a small box of soil from the Moon, or in the worst case, send a video camera with wheels there.. They take and send there an automatic laboratory ! Who doesn't even have a microphone to broadcast the sound of the moon wind ! In a word, savages.

Russia is in the process of building its own space station, which is why they abandoned the ISS.
They might also join China's ambitious space program.
