Well I have not read all 283 pages of this thread but as long as I can remember I have wanted to visit Russia. I finally had the chance to go to St. Petersburg last summer. I have no comment on anything political but have to say that St. Petersburg was everything I had hoped it would be and more. I hope to return one day to see Moscow and travel the Trans Siberian railway.

Of course it is. Why wouldn't it be? Not to mention the Far East. Baikal is a must-see. Irkutsk and Ulan Ude are nice cities to visit. Not that you would know.

But you kissed him when Nazi bombs fell on your cities. And after the Victory you erected the iron curtain. "Reliable allies."
