Matter of opinion. I love pb. I buy one that is organic and has no added sweetener of any kind. Good quality protein but must be eaten in smallish quantities due to the calories.

I love peanut butter with jam.

I also like crunchy peanut butter cookies. Mm.

Question. Doesn't Australia have something that is creamy and used on bread, and which has an acquired taste? I forget what it's called. I think of it as Australian peanut butter.

Okay, try this. Put some peanut butter on a cracker, and some Nutella. Eat. Tastes good.

You are probably thinking of Vegemite. In the UK it's called Marmite. Tastes like cr*p but my husband loves it. Looks like tar.

Yeah, that's it! I tried it once and it really is an acquired taste.

B vitamins cause me to sleep better, but you're right, that stuff is scary! I just found that they sell it a the Publix Supermarkets here where I live: Gluten Free Blog: Marmite - Gluten-Free Treat from the UK

Nuts in general are a source of high quality fat and protein, a substitute for beef and other meats.

Among nuts, peanuts are the cheapest.

Peanut butter is a cheap, effective, and fun way to get a mass of kids to eat a source of high quality fat and protein, but somewhat offset by the addition of sugar. That's America, for better and for worse.

Other sources of high quality fat are olive oil and avocados.

You grow nuts, avocados and olives in Finland?
