Considering it's not forbidden and that gays have more rights than many other places in the world, then yeah, it can seem like it's a more common practice.
Definitely not. It is pretty widely accepted, though, so you'll see it more often (gays are more open about their sexual orientation since they're less likely to get abuse because of it). But Europe has an okay birth rate so I would think it means there are still quite a lot of straight people in our countries.

The rate is NOT OK, but that has NOTHING to do with homosexuality.
In my country still Is impossible to see a gay copule holding hands or kissing in the street.. I don't know how it Is in other european counties
In Madrid i saw gaya doing that.. So that place Is more progressive.
In my country only if you go to the popular gay seaside Torre del lago you can see that.
Al thought we are tolerant.. My generation Is the one Who improved tollerance.
I support gays btw. I have a gay friend from uni..and he talked freely of his sexuality ho gong it a few Times with small colments.. Still not saying it explicity thought.
It's WAY more than 2%, probably 10% or even 20.
It just means that Europe(and Canada, America, Australia etc.) is far far more progressive than the rest of the world. There are plenty of gays in Taiwan, but most gays are afraid to come out of the closet because the parents are usually utterly narrow-minded, so the society looks more heterosexual(expats here say that Taiwan is a bit more tolerant than Italy but I can't comment on that, I do know some that have come out of the closet, just that most choose not to), but I swear Taiwan is just as gay as most European countries, if not gayer.
No. Do you know how many men have sex with men in the middle east? A lot of it is simply down to sexual repression and the unavailability of women, but it happens a lot behind closed doors.
